Three Valve Eb/D Tuning Bell Trumpet w/“D” Bell and slides
The E3L has been the benchmark for comparison for virtually all other Eb trumpets in the marketplace .The tuning bell construction helps provide a balanced resistance and outstanding pitch. This instrument is the favored choice of nearly every major orchestral musician and soloist in the world today.
Four Valve Tuning Bell Trumpet in Eb
Bore: M -.450" (11.42 mm)
Bell: ML – 5" (127.00 mm) Yellow Brass Bell with #2 taper
The E3L-4 in Eb has an additional fourth valve adding a lower fourth to the trumpet’s range. The bell is larger in the throat with a quicker taper than the bell supplied with the model E3L trumpet and has a bigger feel. This instrument is extremely versatile and ideal for large ensemble & symphonic performance. In Eb only, these instruments possess a dark, full-bodied sound that balances well within a section when other players are using Bb or C trumpets.
Three Valve Eb/D Fixed Bell Trumpet w/“D” slides Bore: ML -.460" (11.68 mm)
Bell: M - 4.50" (114.30 mm) Yellow Brass Bell with #4 taper.
Not as common as the E3L, the E2D is a medium large bore instrument that plays slightly bigger and broader in a fixed bell model. The larger bore allows the player the ability to lean a little harder into the instrument at louder dynamic levels while the bracing provides additional stability. This model is ideal for solo or section playing within the orchestra when an Eb trumpet is desired.
