HD Series C Trumpet

The new HD series of trumpets were developed to offer a darker core of sound with superior articulation clarity. Completely new design elements include a square shaped tuning slide bow and a re-designed mouthpipe taper and receiver. In addition to these features, the construction and design of the HD bell creates a solid, secure feel with incredible tonal depth. These new models are recommended for classical as well as jazz/commercial players alike. HD trumpets are offered in silver plate, 24K gold plate, raw brass or lacquer finishes.

Our most popular C trumpet model, the S22C was originally conceived with the orchestral player in mind. This popular model offers a traditional cylindrical design that creates an even, broad tonal center. Intonation is excellent throughout the register and can be used either in an orchestral, chamber or solo settings. Upgrading an optional #2 pure silver bell adds a richness to the sound with maximum projection.

C Series C Trumpet

Model C1 C Trumpet

Bell: L – 5.00" (127.00 mm) Yellow Brass Bell with #1 taper

Due to its multi-bore design, the C1 plays freer and more open than one would expect from a medium large bore C trumpet. This is an ideal instrument for a player looking for slightly more resistance than the standard large bore C trumpets for security when performing solo literature, chamber music and lighter playing.

The C3 model allows for an open, free blowing feel that certain players require at louder dynamic levels and provides the immediate brilliance needed for projection in a large ensemble. An all-purpose option, the C3 is very responsive permitting the performer flexibility at all dynamic levels.

Model C5 C Trumpet

Similar in feel to the C3, the C5 is slightly tighter in the main tuning slide providing additional resistance.

Model CX C Trumpet

Bell: L – 5.00" (127.00 mm) Yellow Brass Bell with #1 taper

In terms of feel, the CX is the most open blowing C trumpet currently in production by the Schilke Company. The larger bell taper allows for a variety of color ranging from a round, rich, full-bodied sound to tone with brilliance and “shimmer” when required.
