Schilke Flugelhorn in Hollywood

After nearly 30 years, Schilke Music Products is proud to introduce a new flugelhorn model to the trumpet world. First introduced at The 2009 Midwest Clinic and 2010 NAMM show, we have begun shipping initial orders to Authorized Dealers.

L.A. studio session legend, Rick Baptist was one of the first to receive the new Schilke flugelhorn. He was thrilled with the instrument when first tried it and immediately had to get one.We recently checked in with Rick how the new flugelhorn was working out and what projects he was currently working on. He wrote back to say… 

“ What can I say, you got it right! Great scale, great sound, and it can actually play above the staff with a great sound! Last week I played on the new Mariah Carey Christmas album, produced by Randy Jackson and music by Marc Shaiman. I played my flugel on quite a few songs and had a great piccolo trumpet solo with my Schilke P7-4. You can also watch me play my B5 and flugelhorn on “Dancing with the Stars”. Just finished the Emmys and today on “Family Guy”, Warren Luening, Gary Grant and myself played flugels all day. My Schilke was on First!”
